Born on the slopes of Durbanville Hills in the Western Cape, Wick & Stone was built around a philosophy of slow living, natural materials, and intentional design. Every candle is hand-poured in small batches using eco-conscious soy wax, housed in a custom concrete vessel that's as much an object as it is a candle. The kind of thing you keep on a shelf long after the wax is gone.
The Concrete Vessel
Most candles come in glass. Some come in tins. Wick & Stone comes in concrete — and that choice says everything about the brand.
Each vessel is individually hand-crafted, finished, and sealed. The raw, understated texture of cement brings an earthy, architectural quality to the candle that works in modern spaces without trying too hard. And because the holders are reusable and refillable, the vessel outlives the candle. It becomes a soap dish, a planter, a desk object, a piece of the room — whatever you want it to be.
It's the kind of design thinking that separates a product from a commodity.
The Candles
Three sizes. All made with natural soy wax, infused with essential oils, and hand-poured in Durbanville. Each one burns cleanly, evenly, and — when the wax melts — can be used as a warm moisturiser or nourishing massage oil. A detail that feels almost too good to be true, but isn't.
170g Artisanal Candle
The everyday candle. Single wick, 170g of natural soy wax in a hand-crafted concrete holder (7.5cm wide). The right size for a bathroom shelf, a bedside table, or a desk. Compact enough to gift, substantial enough to last.
250g Artisanal Candle
The mid-size. Single wick, 250g, in a slightly taller concrete vessel (8.5cm wide x 9cm high). More presence on a surface, longer burn time, and the same essential oil infusion and reusable holder. The one to reach for when you want something that makes a statement without dominating the room.
1kg Artisanal Candle
The statement piece. Five wicks. One kilogram of soy wax in a wide concrete vessel (18cm wide x 6cm high) that commands a coffee table, a dining room sideboard, or a reception desk. This is the candle that fills a room — with scent, with warmth, and with the kind of quiet visual weight that makes a space feel finished. It's also the one that makes the most impact as a corporate or occasion gift.

The same hand-crafted cement aesthetic, applied to a bathroom essential. Each dish is individually poured, finished, and sealed, with an integrated drainage system that keeps soap dry and firm.
